The Countdown

Hey guys. So its the countdown but i've got 2 different countdowns this year and i don't really know which one is more important than the other. So here goes.....

So the first one is obvious enough. Hari Raya Aidilfitri is like in a weeks time, give and take. So the countdown of the finals days of fasting and also preparation to welcome the festive season is in progress. I can't wait to actually celebrate it and wear new clothes and be all traditional and stuff.

The second one, which technically i have more to say about, is my second brother's relocation. Yes, you read it right. One of my brothers is moving away due to work purposes. He is flying off to Guangzhou, China on the fourth day of Eid Mubarak. Technically, we still have about another week or so with him too. His whole family is migrating over there for the next 2 years. I know alot of people say, 2 years is not going to be long at all. But 2 years without him around at family events or dinners would definitely be different. And seeing that i grew up with 2 brothers and suddenly seemingly only having one to turn to now is kind of sad too.

I'm not as close with him as I am with my eldest brother, but that does not change the fact that he is still my brother and he has also been a pillar of strength as i grew up. He'll be home occasionally when he has the week off or something, but still, it feels like a missing piece will soon ensue my life.

But on the bright side, people always have room to better themselves. My brother was given and opportunity to be an expatriate and i'm proud of him for being able to achieve that. Here's to better opportunities for my whole family and everyone else out there.
