Weddings

Hey guys. So here goes nothing. Before anything, i am so freaking deeply sorry that i havent updated since like, forever! So here's a little feast for the eyes.

Before the feast, there are always appetisers. And so, this is mine. I was at my cousin's wedding today and being the photographer crazed girl that i am, i brought along my new baby, Nikon D7100, to give him a chance to prove himself. And yes, my camera is a boy cos i love it and being the straight girl that i am, i therefore made my camera a boy. OH YES! I brought 3 lenses of which i mostly only used once which was my friend's 50mm 1.4. Oh hell yes! the bokeh is marvellous. As shown in the photo above. I'm in love with a len's bokeh. Okay, now i know why i'm single. HAHAHAHA.

So i went around, snapped a few shots, stumbled on things and almost fell  face flat on the floor while wearing 6 inch heels. Oh yes, i dressed up to the occasion since its my cousin's wedding. Like of course, we don't always doll ourselves up and look fabulous everyday.

It was a great catch-up session i would have to say. Despite being at a wedding, we felt like it was more of a gathering session since we met all the cousins and aunties that we havent seen in so long. Like i think there were a few guest that smiled and called out my name and obviously, i smiled back. But after they walked away, i would turn to my mum and be like, "Who is that? Am i suppose to remember her?" I won't even lie. There are like a lot of people i hardly remember or recognised that actually came up to me and talked to me like i knew them for a lifetime.

There were epic performances and obviously being a Malay wedding (and no guys, it does not cost $50) there were martial arts and for us Malays we call it 'hadang' or if i have to translated it, basically means to stop someone or to cause and obstacle from a particular destination. And this is the most fun part of every wedding and obviously, my favourite part. It is the time when you can basically request anything from the bride and groom, they will have to do it or they wont get to their 'pelamin' or throne. It was fun. But enough of me blabbering about this, i'll end this off with a couple of photos from today. ENJOY!
